2 Ideas, that can be combined.
First:
There is a project, that xWiki has startet, to combine some other projects under 1 frontend. The name is Cristal UI.
The Projects are:
Github, NextCoud, xWiki, Jitsi and some other.
The idea is to make moduls, you can exchange, to add more functionality.

While this idea didn’t get out of my mind, I thougt about the field …
Here are my ideas about that:
The field can have some different types of paragraphs, such as headers, checkboxes and so on.
Some more paragraph types, you can extend as Plugins or Addons:
- Video Link (gets rendered)
- Wiki site (that gets rendered)
- Maps (as I wrote already)
- Picture (with several more attributes or settings)
- Audio Files (you can play them, maybe translate them into text)
- Charts
- 3D Pictures
The idea is to have an intertreter, that can handle different fieldtypes for many use cases.
It is not about supporting everything, but to be flexible …
(That is the idea of Cristal … so you can reuse the modules even for other projects)
