Migration from opensource Taiga?

Hi, I’ve been using my own install of opensource Taiga for a long time and I love it. Really looking forward to seeing what Tenzu looks like!

Will there be an automatic migration path from the existing Taiga to Tenzu?

Hi @siliconalchemy , glad to see hear that
We tried to answer that specific question in the Q&A of our site tenzu.net because we knew it would come soon

To give you some more details: we know this is an important issue and we are planning to work on it. There is no direct compatibility between the data model of Taiga and Tenzu as it is a different product so I can’t give you a definitive answer yet, but we will definitely try to have a simple migration procedure in place in the future!

Looking forward to seeing Tenzu  If it’s a suitable replacement for Taiga I’d be happy to try and help with a migration process.

That’d be awesome, we would be glad for the help. There is still a long way to go before we can consider Tenzu to be a serious contender of Taiga but we’ll get there! I hope you can try the test platform we’re going to open soon (end of the month)

Hello, Thanks for the job you are achieving. About this question, Our team is currently using Taigai and I wanted to know if there is already a solution about the migration or we should still wait please? and do you please have an information about the period?

Hi @simplice, there is no migration procedure yet but it is planned. I can’t give you an exact ETA, but we’ll try to provide at least a partial import feature as soon as possible. It should come right after we’ve added SSO (which we’re working on as we speak).

We actually made a call for help in our latest release announcement about anyone that can provide us with export files from Taiga in order to help us on this. If you have one you can provide we would be glad for it! Same for @siliconalchemy by the way

Cheers :tenzu:

Hi @Atul , thanks for the link, but what we need is not an API CSV export of stories but the complete project export file. You can check how to fetch it here. It’s those files that we plan to support importing in Tenzu :)
